Hi! My name is Helen Guerrero. I am a senior at Johnston County Middle College High School! I want to welcome you to my page. The title of my project is Mentoring David. Up above is a picture with me and the child I mentored. He is a seven-year old first grader who loves spider- man and the color blue. His favorite book is the Cat in the Hat . David is an example of millions of kids who are born to immigrant parents or are immigrants themselves. He represents those who don't have a voice to defend themselves, and just like any other kid in America David has a dream... the American dream. He wants to helps animals and become a veterinarian when he is older. The problem is there is no one to help him reach his goals, because of difficulties presented by his main obstacle..
